Obituary

IMBODEN-Mr. Eugene Victor Jones, 85, died Saturday at Walnut Ridge Nursing \u0026 Rehab. He was a Regional Administrator for the Dept. Of Human Services. He was a charter member of the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department, charter member of the Lions Club, member of the American Legion and the Imboden Methodist Church. He was a member of the Army Air Force and a Veteran of WWII. He is survived by 2 sons, Steve Jones and Jim Jones of Imboden; 2 sisters, Pauline Craig of Powhatan and Ruby Jones of Imboden; 3 grandchildren, Chris Jones of Imboden, Stephanie Mason of Reyno and Jeremy Jones of Jonesboro; 6 greatgrandchildren, Rob Mason, Will Mason, Jana Jones, Tate Jones, Lauren Jones and Autumn Blasingame. He was preceded in death by his wife, Willene, 2 brothers, Justin and Lester Jones and 1 sister, Edith Bilbrey. Visitation will be 5-8 Monday at Imboden Methodist Church. Rev. Bob McMillion will conduct funeral services at 2:00 Tuesday at Imboden Methodist Church under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hope cemetery with Danny Rowsey, Ben Starr, Daniel Craig, David Stewart, Gary Russell, Steve Prestige, Mike Hottel and Bill Rowsey serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Stacy, Terry Rorex, Ralph Jean, Oland Goad, Austin Stovall, Wade Bellah, Ancel Matthews, Paul White, Larry Steele, Joe Justus, Davis Matthews, Steve Huddleston, Dan Matthews, Andy Stovall and Davie Statler.
