Maynard- Eugene "Buck" Biggs 84, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Pocahontas Healthcare and Rehab. Buck was born February 7, 1931 in Memphis, TN to Harry and Mary Summers Biggs, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Shemwell Biggs; sons John (Cheryl) Biggs of Raleigh, NC and Jeff (Tricia) Biggs of Athens, AL; seven grandchildren: Stephen and Emily Biggs of Raleigh, NC, Samantha, Luke, Adam, Seth and Ethan Biggs of Athens, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Harry Biggs, Jr., sisters Martha Adair and Evelyn Biggs. Buck was born and raised in Memphis, TN, where he graduated from Whitehaven High School. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Memphis Light, Gas, and Water Engineering Department after 26 years of service. He later worked at the Farr Company in Jonesboro, after the family moved to the Supply community in Maynard, AR. Buck was a loving and devoted husband and father and enjoyed living in the country. There will be a graveside service Sunday, September 27th at 2:00 p.m. at Pitman Cemetery in Supply with John and Jeff Biggs officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
