Esther Pauline Harris, 83, of Pocahontas passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at St. Bernard's Medical Center.
She was born September 29, 1934 in Long Lake, Wisconsin. Daughter of Cletice and Hazel Sawyer Templeman. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church and worked as a foreman with Waterloo Industries where she retired after 20 years. She loved to travel and to fish.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Harris; granddaughter, Deborah Kaye; grandson, Kim Lee; and two sisters, Nadine Lowtharp and Donna Turner.
Survivors include her children, Terry (Blanche) Hatfield, Jim (Barbara) Harris, Richard (Roxanne) Harris, Mary (Donald) Dick, Betty Harris, and Louise Roy; 14 grandchildren; many many great grandchildren; siblings, Thelma Clark, Roger (Marlene) Templeman, Shirley (Gene) Martens, Beverly Kohr, Darla Fausett, William Templeman, Cletice (Rhonda) Templeman, Rene (Tom) Mauling; and many other relatives and friends. She loved her family fiercely and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 11, 2018 in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Jeremy Bundren officiating. Internment will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time for the service.
