Jonesboro- Estelle M. Fox, 94, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born on January 4, 1919 in Pine Bluff to the late Grover Cleveland Maddox and Alvie Pearl Beck Maddox. She graduated from Arkansas State University. Mrs. Fox was an elementary school teacher, worked for Department of Human Services for twenty-five years, worked for Radio Station KBTM during World War II and owned M J Fox Photography with her husband. She was a member of the Arts Study Group, Treble Club, Altrusa Club and First Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school for several years. She loved to sew, travel, crafts, music and loved to entertain guests. She is survived by her children, M. J. Fox, Jr. and Janet Kibbons and her husband Vance all of Jonesboro; a grandson, Mike Scott of Kansas City, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Leon Van Patten of Searcy; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, M. J. Fox Sr. and a sister, Nancy Bell (Nannie Bell)Van Patten. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 pm, Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home, 300 W. Matthews Ave. Services and burial will be private. Honorary pallbearers are Treble Club, Arts Study Group and Linda Smith and Pat McQuay. Lasting memorials may be sent to Treble Club or Salvation Army or Charity of choice.
