Obituary

Essie L. Morgan, 71 of Corning AR, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and beloved friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Sunday, November 9th, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Born October 25, 1954 to the late Beauford and Frances Mcdaniel, in Georgetown SC, Essie was a woman of many talents. Essie enjoyed preparing meals for the hungry, blankets for the cold as well as creating many personalized items for anyone in need. Essie spent a great deal of her time and talent with the children of Reno First Baptist and had a very special place in her heart for Operation Christmas Child.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother JB McDaniel and sister, Leila Dillard.

Essie leaves behind her husband, Barry, children Angela Marie (Mark) of Afton, NC, Sherry Mize of Summerville SC, Michelle (Dennis) Morgan of Pocahontas AR, and Steven (Robyn) Morgan of Aiken, SC. Grandchildren, Kattie (Manuel), Levi, Cory (Jordan), Abigayil, Erica; great-grandchildren Hayden, Destiny, and Isaiah. Bonus Grandchildren, as she affectionately referred to them, Brittany and Bradley. Siblings Frances Cox of Florence SC, Sam McDaniel, of Wisconsin, Kathy McDaniel of North Carolina, numerous nieces and nephews and beloved friends.

Family will receive friends at the home of Michelle and Dennis Morgan, 2708 Hwy 62 West, Pocahontas AR. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening 6-8 pm McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be held, Wednesday, November 12th at 2pm, Mcnabb Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Roger Hovis officiating.
