BATESVILLE " E.R. "Joe" Allen, 87, passed away Saturday evening, May 22, 2010, at the Rolling Hills Nursing Center. He was born on June 30, 1922, at Lorado to the late William and Chella Allen and lived most of his life in Jonesboro. He retired after 25 years with the Roger Miller Construction Co. in Jonesboro and was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church. Joe excelled in athletics in his younger days.
