Greenfield- Era Thelma (Copeland) Secrease, 92, passed away June 4, 2017 at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro.
She was born April 18, 1925 to Ollie Elmer and Viola Barnhill Copeland in Greenfield.
She was homemaker and married Cleo Franklin Secrease on April 11, 1941 they shared 62 years of marriage together. Mrs. Secrease enjoyed singing, playing the autoharp, fishing, hunting, quilting and crochet. She was a devoted Christian and will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cleo Franklin Secrease; a son, Jerry Franklin Secrease; a daughter-in-law, Betty Brown Secrease; three brothers, Floyd Copeland, Jim Copeland and Howard Copeland; two sisters, Ruby White and Pat Johnson and two grandsons, Shawn Secrease and Jeremy Logan Secrease.
She is survived by her children, Roy Secrease (Sharon) of Harrisburg, Dorris Carter (Jimmy) of Harrisburg and Joan Costner (Sam) of Jonesboro; two sisters, her twin sister Vera Martinez of Stockton, CA and Sybil Moss of Illinois; a brother, Jack Copeland of Paragould; two sister-in-law's, Earline Copeland and Carol Copeland both of Paragould; eleven grandchildren, James Secrease (Lisa), Vance Secrease (Kelly), Clark Secrease (Pam), Randy Secrease, Sandy Lancaster (John), Susan Taylor (Carson), Jennifer Andrews (Brian), Kim Harkey ( Terry), Jimmy Carter II (Bubba) (Bobbie), Jill Carter Self and Rodney Secrease (Misty); eighteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great-granchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday June 6, 2017 at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Bolivar Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 pm until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are James Secrease, Vance Secrease, Clark Secrease, Rodney Secrease, Jimmy Carter II, and Terry Harkey. Her Great and Great-Great Grandchildren will serve as honorary.
