Emmett Ray Persful, 92, of Pocahontas passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025 at his home.

He was born November 22, 1932 in Pocahontas to the late Jasper N. and Mary E. Wheeler Persful.  He worked as a carpenter and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Emmett was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Mary Persful; his wife, Donna Archer Persful; a grandson, Phillip Persful; two brothers, and three sisters.

Emmett is survived by his children, Danny Ray Persful, James Neil Persful, Loretta Marie Hart, Thomas Lee Persful, Mary Ellen Truckey, and Stanley Charles Persful; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

No services are scheduled.  Cremation has been chosen as the method of final disposition under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
