Emma Lou Kemp Hills, 74, of Ravenden, passed away November 1, 2018, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR.
Emma Lou was born December 10, 1943 in the Yadkin community of Ravenden Springs to Jake and Alma Smith. Emma Lou was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She cherished her children and grandchildren above all things. She was humble and kind, placing the needs of her family before her own. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ravenden and lived her life demonstrating her faith in her love for others.
Emma Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Alma Smith, and her brother, Gerald Ray Smith.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy (Tim) Hawkins of Jonesboro; sons, Randy (Tamra) Kemp of Baytown, TX, Ryan (Liz) Kemp of Ravenden, and Michael (Angela) Kemp of Bono; 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Waymon (Cindy) Smith of Fairfield, CA, Pat Smith and Brenda (Junior) Johnston both of Pocahontas; Jim (Sue) Smith of Imboden, Joyce (Tom) Simon of Giddings, TX.
All services will be at McNabb Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 5-7 pm. Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Sunday, November 4, 2018 with Frank Casillas officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Greg Smith, Donald Boucher, Dillon Boucher, Adam Taylor, Jordan Hawkins, and Johnny Holder. Honorary pallbearers include her co-workers at Iberia Bank, Pocahontas.
Lasting memorials may be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House at 1148 East Matthews, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
