Augusta- Elfie Elaine Wilson Maynard, 72, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 at her home.

She was born May 1, 1951 in Pocahontas to the late Richard and Notra Mae Hamilton Wilson. Mrs. Maynard taught English and retired from Augusta Public Schools. She enjoyed reading, flowers, movies and watching TV. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Augusta.

She is survived by two brothers, Garren Wilson of Pocahontas and Olen Wilson (Jimmie) of Imboden; niece, Tricia Noel and nephew, Phillip Sullivan both of Pocahontas and several cousins.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, Steve Maynard; a son, Roark Maynard and a sister, Debbie Wilson.

The family will have a private graveside service at Chesser Cemetery.
