Obituary
Mr. Elbert W. Cook of Harrisburg, departed this life Friday, January 19, 2018, at the Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg, at the age of 79.
He was born June 18, 1938 in Okean, AR, the son of the late John Thomas Edmond Cook and Louise Broadway Cook.
Elbert did carnival work for many years and attended Focus Day School in Trumann. He was well known and liked at Woodbriar Nursing Home, where he had lived for the past several years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Francis Olson and two brothers, Lonnie Dean Cook and Earl Cook.
He is survived by three sisters, Alma Chapmin of Elkhart, IN, Bonnie Williams of Mountain View, AR and Betty Graves of Trumann, AR, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro, with Rev David Mitchell officiating. Gregg-Weston Funeral Home of Harrisburg is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.
