Elaine Brown Ragan, 80, of Pocahontas, passed Thursday, July 30, 2020 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

She was born May 2, 1940, in Randolph County to the late Charlie and Ethel Phillips Brown. Elaine was a member of the Free Will Baptist community. She worked at Brown Shoe for 34 years, as well as Waterloo and Skil.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Cathy Richey; brother, Carl W. Brown; and husband, Mack Ragan.

She is survived by one son, Tim Ragan of Pocahontas; sister, Letha Brown of Jonesboro; brother, Charles (Sherri) Brown of Pocahontas; sister-in-law, Mary Brown of Pocahontas; brother-in-law, Roger (Vicki) Richey of Poplar Bluff, MO; niece, Kara Richey of Jonesboro; and nephews, Jamie Brown of Jonesboro, Jeff and Tony Brown of Pocahontas, Chris Brown of Fayetteville, and Mark, Craig, and Kevin Brown of Pocahontas.

Visitation will be Friday, August 7, 2020, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. with a memorial service following at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Cremation is the chosen method of disposition.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

To follow the directives of Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, masks covering the mouth and nose are required for all persons in Arkansas for all indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to non-household members where social distancing cannot be assured. Those attending will also be asked to sign a contact registry and maintain a social distance.
