Pocahontas- Eileen Singley, 87 of Pocahontas passed away on Friday September 6, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born November 19, 1925 in Pocahontas, AR to the late Roland and Marjorie Morris. She is preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Lee Reep, and one granddaughter, Melissa Alston. Eileen, a Pocahontas business women and her husband owned and operated Singley Insurance Agency for 36 years before their retirement. She was the past Matron of the Eastern Star and a member of the First Baptist Church of Pocahontas. Eileen is survived by her husband of 62 years, Dud Singley, three daughters Brenda Tiner ( Billy Don) of San Antonio, TX, Carla Hurt of Jonesboro, AR, Marcia Wray (Roger) of Mount Dora, FL, five grandchildren Lauren Tiner, Colby Tiner, Michael Alston, Jessie Hurt and Lt. Barak Wray. Eileen is also survived by a sister, Mary Lou (Jay) Jewell of Memphis. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Monday, September 9. Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 10 at 10 a.m. at McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas with Dr. Jerol Swaim officiating assisted by Pastor Eric Moffett.. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery Pallbearers will include Michael Alston, Roger Wray, Steve Fender, Danny Steimel, Lavon Pease, and Willard Winebaugh. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the First Baptist Church of Pocahonts for the building fund.
