Maynard - Edwina Johnson Markley Whitney, 89, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Randolph Home in Pocahontas, AR. Edwina was born September 11, 1924 to the late Lester and Grace Mock Johnson in Maynard, AR. Edwina was a lifelong member of the Maynard Church of Christ. Survived by her children Steve Markley of Georgetown, TX., Sherri Hannum of Kohala, HI., Robyn Glisson and Tommy Whitney of Maynard, AR., step-daughters Diane Stone of Hurst, TX and Vickie Kazzee of Cherokee Village, AR., grandchildren Naoma Wolf, Maile Andrade of Hawaii, Samantha Glisson of Jonesboro, Casey Glisson, Jordon and Hannah Whitney of Pocahontas, Kyle Glisson of Maynard, Chris Myers of Pocahontass, step grandchildren Shane Holland of Pocahontas, AR., Mandy Stone Brown of Cleburne, TX., Johnna Spikes of San Francisco, CA and Troy Daniel of Cherokee Village, AR., great grandchildren Darience Hannum, Kyra Hannum, Gavin Hannum, Kanan Andrade, Keri Andrade, Ariel Wolf all of Hawaii, and Jadyn Myers of Pocahontas. Preceded in death by her parents, husbands H.D. Markley and Tom Whitney, grandson Gabriel Hannum and brother Thomas Johnson. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Maynard Church of Christ with Gerald Fears officiating. Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery.
