Obituary

Pocahontas - Edward Lee Rackley, age 82, was a retired farmer and state employee and a WWII Navy Veteran. He was born March 12, 1927 and passed away May 5, 2009 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, James Edward and Gracie Rackley. 3 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife, Barbara of 61 years, of the home. 2 sons; Tom Rackley, wife Lugene of Pocahontas. Larry of Bonne Terre, MO. 2 daughters; Paula Smith and husband, Edd of Pocahontas, \u0026 LeAnn Edington of Pocahontas. 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. Mr. Rackley also leaves behind many friends and family members. Service will be held Friday, May 08, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Burial will follow to Randolph Memorial Gardens with Melvin Shelton \u0026 Larry Rogers officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday night from 5-8, also in the Chapel. Military Honors will be provided by Prom Berger Traw Post 4556.
