Moss Point, MS – Edna Lucille Tompkins, 91, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022.

She was born June 12, 1931 in North Little Rock to the late Gentry and Willie Tipton. She enjoyed quilting for her grandchildren, crocheting, doing puzzles and cooking for her family. Edna loved riding through the mountains especially though Gatlinburg and the Ozarks. She loved visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Letha Carr and James Tompkins (Glenda) all of Lake City, Allen Tompkins of Pascagoula, MS and William Tompkins (Kim) of Grenada, MS; brothers, Marvin Tipton of Trumann and R. C. Tipton of Oil Trough; friend and caregiver, Cara Beth Singley; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Tompkins; two children, Aline Pry and Royce Tompkins and a granddaughter, Ashley Tompkins.

A celebration of her life will be 12:00 noon Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette. Interment will follow at Caraway Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are her grandchildren.
