Pocahontas,Arkansas: Edna B. Foster 102 years of age formerly of Sikeston, Missouri. Mrs. Foster passed away on August 29, 2008 at the Randolph County Nursing Home. She was born on January 27,1906 at Eleven Point ,Arkansas, daughter of the late James Walter and Harriett Stubblefield England. She was a graduated of Maynard Baptist Academy and attended Harding College at Morrilton , and Arkansas A\u0026M College , Jonesboro,Arkansas. She was married to C.R. (Pete) Foster December 19,1925 in Pocahontas. They both taught school in Arkansas until 1935 when they moved to Sikeston,Missouri. They were in the grocery business for many years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Sikeston. She was a long time member of the Sikeston Business and Professional Womans Club: she was a member of Sikeston Chapter of 137 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a gray lady at th MO Delta Medical Center in Sikeston for eighteen years and loved volunteering very much. Mrs. Foster is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Jake and Betty Foster of Pocahontas. Two granddaughters and grandsons-in-law Mindy and David Golliher of Atlanta,Ga, Dr. Beverly Foster and T. Martin Davis of Little Rock ,Ar. She was is also survived by four great- grand-sons and one great-grand-daughter. She is also survived by two sisters, Kathleen Sloan of Sikeston, and Dortha Jane Hedge of Jackson, Mo.She was preceded in death by her husband C.R. (Pete) Foster and one brother, James W. England. .Graveside Services will be Monday at 2:00 PM at the Foster Cemetery at Maynard with Fred Hunter officiating. Arrangement are under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
