Harrisburg- Edith Marie Smart Holcomb, 63, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

She was born January 28, 1956 in Lepanto to the Velmer and Kathryn Harvison Smart. She was a homemaker and a member of the Anderson Tulley Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, William Charles Holcomb; her mother, Kathryn Smart; three daughters, Kathryn Miller (Steve) and Heather Seagraves (Scott Smart) all of Harrisburg and April Schols (John) of Malvern; three brothers, Lynn Smart (Faye) and Don Smart of all of Harrisburg and Eudale Smart (Sheila) of Benton Harbor, Michigan; a sister, Nellie Willis (Sonny) of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren, Charles White (Kandi) of Harrisburg, Kaylan McNamara (Elia) and Mallori Miller all of Jonesboro, Julie Miller and Felicia Seagraves (Kati Robson) all of Harrisburg, Mykayla Seagraves of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Devin Seagraves and Austin Seagraves both of Harrisburg; four great-grandchildren- Jude White, Alazander McNamara, Selina White and Alexus Perrit; foster grandson, Karson Tucker; two sisters-in-law, Lynn Mattix (Mark) and Seveila Yancy (Butch).

She was preceded in death by her father, Velmer Smart; two brothers, Johnny Smart and Eugene Smart; two sisters, Brenda Tucker and Joanne Stevens.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Monday, May 13, 2019 at Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
