Eddie L. Hinklin, 86, of Doniphan, MO, passed away June 11, 2021, at Ocean Springs Health and Rehab, Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

Eddie was born on August 7, 1934, in Naylor, Mo to the late Opel McConnaughay Hinklin Elliott.

Ed left home at a young age to go to work in factories in Rockford including Amerock. Later he changed career paths and became a carpenter. Ed loved to travel even after retirement he remodeled a trailer to become home away from home. He also had a love for thrift stores where he would always give his family a 0 dollar deal. Ed had a love for music and even played a couple instrumnets like the organ and guitar.

Eddie was preceded in death by his mother, Opal McConnaughay Hinklin Elliott; Grandmother Cora Duff Hockings; children, Janice Sue Simpson; brother Lloyd and Ray Dean Elliott, and sister Linda Elliott, son-in-law Tom Lininger; sister-in-law Janet Elliott.
He is survived by his children, Ron (Donna) Simpson of Rockton, Glenda Lininger of Gautier, MS., Peggy Brier of Biloxi, MS and Scott Hinklin of Beaver Dam, Wis.; grandchildren, Brian Simpson, Amber (Mike) Rodriguez, Steve (Niki) Hinklin, Tina (Preston) Crosslin, Matt Lininger, Angie Hanson, Nicole (Michael) Josephitis and Scottie and Dylan Hinklin; and great-grandchildren,Jacob, Wyatt, Weston, Donnavan, Cameron, Cole, Elise, Trey, Hannah Grace, Matt, Layla; five siblings, Helen Copeland of Arnold, Allma (Clifford) Walker of Doniphan, Elwanda (Dan) Borkus of Doniphan, Wiley (Janet dec'd) Elliott and Arlene (David) Kay Johnson of Doniphan; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Wednesday June 16 in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place 2:00 p.m. Friday June 18, 2021 in Winnebago Cemetery, Winnebago, IL.
