Earlene
Smith
April 4, 1946 – April 9, 2026
Earlene Smith, 80, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, went home to be with Jesus on April 9, 2026. While her family and loved ones mourn her passing, the angels are rejoicing and welcoming her home.
She was born on April 4, 1946, to Wright and Mildred Smith, and raised in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Earlene was a fun, loving, young of heart, bright light to those who knew her. Her smile was contagious. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling, including trips to Israel and Ireland. She had a deep love of American history and treasured her time exploring founding cities.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Chestel and Jerry Smith. Earlene is survived by three children, Paula Lynn Reed and Shonya Harris of Jonesboro and Jerry Michael Smith of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Brandon Reed and Seth Harris; and two great grandchildren, Maverick and Brayden. She will be missed by her siblings, Jewell Smith of Pocahontas, Larry Smith of Mountain View, and Connie Brennan of Henderson, Nevada. She also has numerous nieces and nephews and a lifetime of friends who loved her deeply.
She lived for her family, in particular her children and grandchildren. One of her greatest joys was sharing pictures of her great grandsons, who are both hockey players. Earlene had a contagious sense of humor and will be remembered for her giving nature. She was always ready to lend a hand and help others. Earlene will be dearly missed.
Cremation has been chosen as final disposition.
