Jonesboro-Earl Clifford Baker ,88, passed away at St. Bernard's Medical Center on January 22, 2025.
He was born to the late Earl and Minnie Derrington Baker on July 29, 1936, in Jonesboro, AR.
Earl loved his horse Smokey. He worked for the Singer factory, FMC, and was a member of the Bono Church of Christ.
He is survived by his son: James Baker (Renae) of Bono; daughters: Linda Painter (Ronnie), Barbara Barnes (Jake), and Carla Brown (William) of Bono; grandchildren: Toby Painter, Philip Painter, Rachel Beach, Tracey Rodgers, Anthony Cline, Garrett Barnes, Lacole Reed, Chloe Rouse, Jeremy Baker, and April Coleman; great-grandchildren: Brylee Baker, Holden Painter, Dylan Painter, Cody Painter, Abby Painter, Tanner Beach, Morgan Beach, Brice Beach, Lillie Beach, Chelsea Beach, Taylor Roeder, Hayden Roeder, Tegan Rodgers, Wade Rodgers, Nolan Rodgers, Kaylee Cline, Tucker Cline, Chance Cline, Tate Barnes, Harvey Barnes, Kyra Coleman, Jeon Coleman, Jace Quirrels, and Kane Brickey; four great-great grandchildren; and a sister Pat Mangrum (Lonnie).
Earl is preceded by his wife Joyce Williams Baker; brothers: J.L. Baker, Lonnie Baker; sisters: Carolyn Hoozer, Virginia Henry, and Doralene Marshall.
Visitation will be held at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home on Friday January 24, 2025, from 6p.m. until 8 p.m. Services will be held on Saturday January 25, 2025, at 11:00a.m. with pastor Brian Beach officiating. Burial will follow in Herman Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Toby Painter, Philip Painter, Anthony Cline, Garrett Barnes, Jeremy Baker, and Wade Rodgers.
