Obituary

Egypt- Dorothy Louise "Toots" Williams, 84, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013. She was born on November 30, 1928 in Egypt to the late Harry and Cletus Rosie Lingo Sr. Mrs. Williams was a former postmaster of Egypt and several other communities. She was a world traveler visiting all continents except Antarctica. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Egypt Church of Christ. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by a son and his wife, Randy and Teri Williams of Egypt; grandchildren, Dustin Williams of Egypt, Jill McBride and husband Michael of Lafe, Weslynn Dale Williams of Egypt; five great-grandchildren, Rylee, Ryder, Ella, Lola and Addie Louise McBride all of Lafe. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Dale Williams; two brothers, John Thomas Lingo and Harry Lingo Jr. A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm, Monday, September 9, 2013 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Gary Cremeens officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 until time of service, Monday at the funeral home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Dorman Hufstedler, Terry Wagner, Donny Tilton, Rick McBroome, Stephen Townsend and Ben Erwin; and as honorary pallbearers, Terry Colburn, Tony Wagner, Walter Wagner, Dennis Lingo and Glenn Lingo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Bernards Hospice or Crowleys Ridge Academy.
