Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Jean Sharp of Harrisburg, departed this life Thursday, July 11, 2019, at the St. Bernard\u0027s Hospital in Jonesboro, at the age of 84.
She was born March 11, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, the daughter of Edgar Martin Lindsey and Lona Geneva Beard Lindsey. Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She married William Leon Sharp on December 17, 1955 and they enjoyed 48 years before his death in 2003. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by three children, Debbie Doty and her husband Mark of Jonesboro, Cathy Reddmann of Harrisburg, and Lee Tanner and her companion Travis Blansett of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Bobby Rowland and his wife Jennifer of Harrisburg, Kaitlyn Tubbs and her husband Glen of Cherry Valley, Sarah Taylor and her husband Hunter of Gatesvile, TX and Ryan Long of Harrisburg, and seven great grandchildren, Charlie Rowland, Callie Rowland, Leydon Cain, Lindon Cain, Crason Taylor, Emersyn Taylor and Maddox Long.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 15th, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg with Rev. John Lindsey officiating.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
