Mrs. Dorothy Shirley Perry, 86, entered into her saviors arms in heaven on February 16, 2017.
She was born on January 31, 1931 to Albert and Ruth Howell.
Mrs. Perry resided in the Harrisburg area for almost 7 years and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist church and has been a very active member of Madison Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed helping other people, reading her bible for hours on end and spoiling the love of her life, her faithful fur baby, "Dakota". She will be greatly missed and was loved by many.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Raymond Shirley; a grand-daughter, Tonya Taylor; a brother Lonnie Buchanan.
She is survived by two daughters, Dena Anderson of Harrisburg and Mona Green of Heber Springs; three grandchildren, Jason Taylor, Katina Bratcher and Whitney Vaughn; twelve great-grandchildren, Jakob Anderson, Molly Baker, Taylor Colbert, Zach Colbert, Travis Taylor, Taylor Mathis, Laurelle Ashby, Brooklyn Talley, Bradley Douglas, Cameron like, Gavin Vaughn and Hailey Vaughn; a great-great-granddaughter, Taylynn Ashby; Several nieces, nephews and two very close friends Miss Sandra Simmons and Tyrone Tate of Harrisburg.
Funeral services are set for 1:00 p.m. Saturday February 18, 2017 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Goad officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gregg-Weston Funeral Home.
Friends may visit at the church, 12:00 p.m. until service time.
Pallbearers will be Shane Fore, Trevor Vaughn, Daryl Davis, Travis Blansett, Pete Gibson and James Tracey. Honorary pallbearers will be David Bratcher.
