Jonesboro- Dorothy Mae Bell Dorton- Rainbolt, 90, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at St. Bernards Medical Center.
She was born March 2, 1928 in Jonesboro to the late Albert Willie and Bertha King Dorton. She owned and operated Dorothy's Deli in Nettleton for fourteen years. She had lived most of her life in Jonesboro but had spent ten years in Ridgedale, Missouri. Dorothy loved her family and enjoyed cooking, antiques, her animals and meeting people. Mrs. Dorothy was a member of the Union Grove Baptist Church.
She is also preceded by her husbands, Opie Wilson and Jim Rainbolt; three brothers, Howard Dorton, Monroe Dorton and Lloyd Dorton; four sisters, Vera Moore, Zelma Pardew, Orma Jo Vincent and Elsie Parker.
She survived by two brothers and their wives, Russell and Evie Lee Dorton and Doyle and Carolyn Dorton all of Jonesboro; a sister, Betty Watkins of Jonesboro; eighteen nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:30 am, Friday at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
A graveside service to celebrate her life will be 11:00 am Friday, May 25, 2018 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Paul Craig officiating.
Interment will follow.
