Jonesboro- Mrs. Doris Jean "DJ" Fitzgerald died in the loving arms of her children, daughter Lydia Fitzgerald and son Luke Fitzgerald, on Sunday July 12th, 2020.

She was born in Ohio to the late Doris. W. Hobbs and Sarah Marlin Hobbs on June 21, 1951. She spent many years working in the Arkansas court and prison systems to help people become a better version of who they once were before she met them. Her great joys in life came from marrying her late husband Timothy James Fitzgerald, watching their children grow into adulthood, her two grandchildren Nicholas and Oliver, and watching Wheel of Fortune with her dog Sassy.

A Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church in Jonesboro on July 18, 2020.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Blessed Sacrament to go towards a memorial stone in her honor.
