Jonesboro- Doris Reddmann Carlisle, 95, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Friday, January 9, 2021. She was born September 15, 1925 in Weiner to Paul and Rosie Reddmann.
She grew up in Weiner and was a special aunt to many nieces and nephews. She later married her husband, Bob, and moved to Jonesboro. She was a member of the First Christian Church and worked for many years as a secretary for General Adjustment Bureau and Carlisle Adjustment Company in Jonesboro. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and watching the Cardinals and Grizzlies play on television.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Carlisle; grandson, Chris Carlisle; sisters, Effie Truitt, Ruby Keller, Freda Maddox and Fayetta Reddmann and brothers, Fred Reddmann, Earl Reddmann, Chris Reddmann and Leo Reddmann.
She is survived by her nieces, Sue McClain, Linda Malone, Paula Craft, Anetta Reddmann, Cindy Reddmann, Alicia Southard, and Susan Morrison; step-children, Leon Carlisle (Heide) and Wayne Carlisle (Pam) all of Jonesboro, Jimmy Carlisle (Brenda) of Bryant, Sandy Callewaert (Jim) of Kennett and Linda Fairbourne (Mike) of Glen Rock, New Jersey; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021 at McDaniel Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren, Matt Carlisle, Adam Carlisle, Travis Carlisle, Stephen Carlisle, Jake Callewaert, Sean Callewaert, Deanna Fairbourne, Will Fairbourne, and Christian Fairbourne.
