Walnut Ridge- Donnie Merle Vance, 62, passed away at his home, Sunday, March 11, 2018.
He was born August 13, 1955 in Jonesboro to the late Merle and Elsie Irene Hutcheson Vance. Donnie worked at Hytrol for many years and also worked as a truck driver and at the family's lumberyard. He enjoyed listening to Paul Harvey, and to deer hunt. As a young man, he enjoyed rodeos, riding bulls and horses. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Shari Gentry; daughter, Stacy Vance of Jonesboro; son and his wife, Christopher and Brittny Vance of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Katelynn Vance, Ayden Haynes and Madison Kirksey.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, B. B. and Elsie Ida Elizabeth Vance and three brothers.
A celebration of his life will be 11:00 am Monday, March 19, 2018 at Sedgwick Baptist Church with Dennis Truckler and Tom Lamb officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until of service Monday at the church.
