POCAHONTAS-Donnie Ray Reed departed this life July 16, 2007 at Pocahontas Healthcare and Rehabilation Center at the age of 70 years and 11 months. He was born August 25, 1936. Don is survived by his wife of 48 years, Peggy J. McFatridge Reed, a daughter Brenda Kay Rorex and husband Rick of Jonesboro, two grandchildren, Ryan Sheets of Jonesboro and Gretchen Jane Rorex of Jonesboro and Batesville and a great-grandson, Beau Sheets of Jonesboro. He is also survived by three brothers, Dwight Reed and wife, Janie, of Doniphan, MO, Neal Reed and wife, Carol, of Poplar Bluff, MO and Larry Reed of New York and Fort Lauderdale, FL and two sisters, Wanda Rulo and husband, John, of Pompano, FL and Margie Hendon and husband, Gary of Jonesboro, a special aunt, Vesta Redus of Doniphan, MO and many other relatives and friends. Don was a member of Skaggs Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Nema Tucker Reed, his father, Floyce Earl Reed, a nephew, Kenneth Neal Reed, best friend, Dwaine Reed and brother-in-law, Dorman McFatridge. Services will be at 3pm Thursday in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Fears officiating. Visitation will be 1-3pm Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens with Darrel Reed, Kelly Reed, Eric Robinson, Fred Fleming, Darren McFatridge and Paul McFatridge, nephews, serving as pallbearers. Immediately following the interment all friends and family are invited to join the family at a drop-in reception in the fellowship room at Skaggs Church of Christ, 901 Prince Street, Pocahontas.
