Bono- Donnie Lemuel Ford, 83, passed away Monday morning, June 8, 2020 at his home.
He was born August 5, 1936 in Bono to the late J.R. and Ophelia Young Ford. He married Jean Frances Hammon in January 11, 1962 and they enjoyed for 56 years together. Formerly of Burton, MI, he worked for Mead Container Corporation for 25 years. He returned to Arkansas in 1983 and retired from Skil Power Tool Company of Walnut Ridge.
One of his greatest pleasures was watching his granddaughter play softball and basketball. Donnie liked to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed target shooting, riding his 4-wheeler, and tending to his garden.
He is survived by his daughter, Tonya Geror of Bono; granddaughter Tosha Geror of Bono; former son-in-law Rolland Geror of Wynne; sister, Brenda "Cookie"(Gerald) Cook of Jonesboro; five brothers Dwayne (Kathy) Ford, Jerry (Dianne) Ford both of Bono, Terry (Connie) Ford, Kenny Ford, Keith (Sheila) Ford all of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean and one brother Johnny Ray Ford.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. (masks are required)
A celebration of his life will be 2:00 pm Thursday, June 11, 2020 at the funeral home with Rev. Randy Stimach officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery near Bono.
