Jonesboro- Donna Sue Martin Alexander, 87, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020 at Craighead Nursing Center.

She was born January 23, 1933 in Nettleton to the late George "Shorty" and Nettie Mae Pleasant Martin. She was a 1950 graduate of Nettleton High School. Mrs. Alexander worked at Sears in the cashier's office for many years from the time they opened at Indian Mall in Jonesboro. She was active in PTA during her children's school years. She loved to travel, play cards and shop for antiques and collectibles and spend time with family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Billie Alexander.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Toni and her husband Sid Johnson of Jonesboro and Mark Alexander and his wife Sherri of Valley Center, California; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Rev. Don Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Nettleton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until time of service, Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family requests lasting memorials be sent to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
