Pocahontas - Donald Wilfred Kent, 75, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012. Born March 23, 1937 to the late Wilfred and Margaret Kent in New York. He is survived by wife Carol Kent of the home, three sons; Thomas and wife Lori and Donald Kent all of Anchorage, Alaska and Billy Kent of Tulsa, OK. and three daughters; Kathy Sutton of Sacramento, CA, Susan and husband Larry Wells of Chugiak, Alaska and Jessica and husband Jonathon Smith of Tulsa, OK. Grandchildren include: Tommy Kent of Minneapolis, MN., Chris Kent of Seattle, Washington, Larry Wells, Jr. Of Anchorage, AK., Catherine Johnson of Chugiak, AK. And Aedan Smith of Tulsa, OK. Sister, Doris and husband John Grassi of Florida and nephew Richard Grassi. Mr. Kent was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his time in Lake Minchumina, Alaska where he shot his first moose and bear. He always had a special spot in his heart for Alaska. Grew up in New York City and served in the Air Force and then became an air traffic controller which he made a career out of. Lived in Guam, Washington, Oregan, Missouri, Arizona before settling in Pocahontas, AR. He was also an avid fan of Notre Dame football. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to armsofhope.com.
