Donald “Donnie” Eugene Thielemier, 87, of Pocahontas departed this life on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Donnie was born on August 7, 1939, to the late Frank and Josephine Pfeffer Thielemier in Pocahontas. After graduating from St. Paul Catholic School, he attended Arkansas State University. He proudly served in the United States Army. After the Army he started farming and continued throughout his life. He was a lifelong member of St. John The Baptist Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Josephine Thielemier; son, Greg Thielemier; sisters, Shirley Sorg, Jane Junkersfeld and Alleene Warden.

He is survived by his children, Sherry (Alan) Thielemier of Jonesboro, Bryan (Teresa) Thielemier of Pocahontas, and Dana Hart of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Blake (Christina)Thielemier, Madison (Uriah) Casillas, Tyler (Savana) Hart, Haley (Caleb Whitmier) Hart, Lexie (Jagger Kibler) Tweddell; great-grandchildren, Lucas Casillas, Cassidy Casillas, Justin, Thielemier, Aiden Camp, Alex Camp, and Ashton Camp; siblings, Frank Thielemier of Jefferson City, MO, Richard Thielemier of Pocahontas, Steven Thielemier of Pocahontas, Jerry Thielemier of Jonesboro and Betty Lindsey of Pocahontas. He also leaves behind a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm with the Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm at McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church with the burial to follow in the St. John Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Bryan Thielemier, Blake Thielemier, Uriah Casillas, Tyler Hart, Brad Thielemier, and Bobby Sorg.

Honorary pallbearers include Jim Thielemier, Ted Grissom, and Donnie Blackshear.
