Monette- Dixie Ann Bennett, 92, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023.

She was born January 10, 1931 in Weona to the late Homer Hal and Beaulah May Denton Bradford. Dixie managed the Osceola Shoe Company and Frolic Footwear in Monette for several years.  She owned and operated Dixie' Shop and Bepco in Monette and Crow's Nest in Marked Tree. After retiring she worked at Monette Manor for several years. She will be remembered for her wonderful cooking and her big smile for everyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale George Bennett and son, George Hal Bennett.

She was survived by her daughter, Reba Wimberley (Kevin) of Monette; granddaughter, Kristen Bennett Mangrum (Wayne) of Jonesboro; great-granddaughter, Allie Mangrum of Jonesboro; a sister, Donna Williamson (Jerry) of Mt. View; a brother, Les Bradford (Bettye) of Marked Tree; daughter-in-law, Melinda Cannon Bennett of Jonesboro; several nieces, nephews and friends.

The visitation will be from 10:30 until 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Marked Tree Cemetery with Rev. Shawn McElhannon officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are David Clark. James Greer, Dustin Carle and Vernon Fisher.
