Dennis Gale Smart, 68, of Pocahontas, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at his home.

He was born April 20, 1952 in Walnut Ridge to the late Clay and Beulah Thomas Smart. He was a tool and die maker for Waterloo Industries and of the Church of Christ belief.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Paul Smart; brother, Calvin Smart; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Smart and Thelma Hayes; and great granddaughter, Raylynn Kimble.

He is survived by his wife, Georgia Cates Smart; his children, Dennis Dale Smart of Pocahontas, Chad Smart of Pocahontas, Belinda (Leroy) Russell of Hoxie, Cindy (Philip) Flurry of Maynard, and Wesley Anderson of Sedalia, MO; grandchildren, Jesse Cagle of Pocahontas, B.J. Cagle of Pocahontas, Kevin Smart of Pocahontas, Micayla Smart of Pocahontas, Sabrina Smart of Wisconsin, Triston Smart of Wisconsin, Kaylon (Brittany) Kimble of Conway, Logan Kimble of Pocahontas, Jacob (Elizabeth) Kimble of Paragould, Tyler Kimble of Maynard, Dakota (Cheyenne) Kimble of Maynard, and Taryn (Jarrett) Brown of Walnut Ridge; great grandchildren, Cason Jones, Cody Jones, Maddox Kimble, Benjamin Kimble, Samuel Kimble, Collin Kimble, Dawson Kimble, Aden Kimble, and Rylan Dill; sister, Donnia (Eugene) Schafer of Pocahontas; brother, Norman (Junaita) Smart of Pocahontas; and many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 2 PM at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Ravenden Springs with Matthew Donner officiating. Cremation has been chosen for final disposition under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
