Obituary
Cherokee Village- Dennis Carter, 66, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020 in Jonesboro.
He was born March 10, 1954 in Jonesboro. He was a supervisor with Dupont. Dennis was known to kids and grandkids as "Pops" and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He enjoyed collecting Bibles and loved spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Jeana Ray Carter; his mother, Virginia Carter; a brother, Ed Carter (Ardie); bonus kids, Hilary Rhineberger (Chris) and Clint Brinker (Emily); ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace Carter; grandparents, Earl and Georgia Metz and Boy and Lizzie Carter.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Nettleton Cemetery. Interment will follow under the direction of Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
