Delnora Jones, 84, of Pocahontas entered into her heavenly home on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Randolph Nursing and Rehab in Pocahontas surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on January 30, 1942, to the late Emmett Otto Hinkle and Dolly Marie Cato Hinkle.
In 1960 momma graduated at Pocahontas and before she finished school, she had started working as a seamstress for King department store until she was married in Nov of 1960. She worked at Brown Shoe for off and on for 24 yrs. She lived on a farm most of her life growing up out of Noland. After retirement age she travelled all over the east coast with some friends and hit all the capitals in each state she travelled to. And when momma was around 15, she travelled to Canada with her mom and her sister Louise and Tillman. She helped Tillman build a shop by holding the level she says. She was a big volunteer helper with the American Legions and helping with St Jude’s. She used her singing voice to help raise money for these charities. She sang in nursing homes and helped make quilts to raise money for the Veterans. While in the nursing home she was crowned queen and district queen and 2nd runner up in state. She was very active in their Sr Olympics and won numerous medals. She travelled the most with her soulmate Euin Mullins. They loved doing things together and going places all over the US. Her best friends Carolyn and Donna went to Nashville and met a lot of country singers like Vince Gill, Mel McDaniel, Joe Nichols, Loretta Lynn, Porter Wagoneer, Mikey Gilley and many others. She just enjoyed life as much as she could. She loved her family and God. She enjoyed family gatherings getting to see all her kids and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Dollie Hinkle; brothers, Laymon and Sandford; sisters, Lois Darling, Marilyn Tyler, Lawana Quirk; great granddaughter, Summar Smith and her close personal friend and soulmate, Euin Mullens.
She is survived by her children, Kim and Tim Hobbs of Knobel, Marilyn Jones of Knobel, Dennis and Lynette Jones of Maynard, Jeanea Tedder of Pocahontas, Robert and Jessica Jones of Ponder, MO, Jimmy and Lisa Jones of Doniphan, MO, and Tameca Jones of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Billy and Jaunita Johnson, Samantha and Travis Walton, Denis Jones, Craig and Erika Sisco, Lacy and Andrew Shore, Chelsey and Nathaniel Reed and Colton, Hannah Jones, Bobby, Alyson, Jackson and Jennifer; great grandchildren, Caden, Pyper, Ryker, Aria, Brentley, Lance, Hunter, Eliawana, Alyssa, Summer, Brayden, Bayley, Sawyer, Brian, Abe, Whitley, Easton, Nova, Gatlin, Kynleigh, Sutton Jett, and Salem; great-great grandchildren, Asher, Mason, Easton, Aubrey, Kinley, Darryck, Wesley and Grayson; sisters, Sarah Louise Wicker of Pocahontas and Jean Joyce Eagan of Little Rock
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Chesser Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jimmy Jones, Craig Sisco, Denis Jones, Colton Jones, Brentley Jones, Hunter Jones and Caden Sweaney.
Honorary pallbearers include Dennis Jones, Robert Jones, Tim Hobbs, and Billy Johnson.
