Mrs. Debra Verneal Sparks of Harrisburg departed this life Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, at the age of 61.

She was born July 9, 1963 in Davenport, Iowa , the daughter of D.W. Davis and Gracie Morrison Davis.

Debra married Ronnie Sparks in 1979. She worked as a CNA and also worked at Taylor Stuckey Cotton Mill. She loved fishing and  swimming . Debra was strong minded and enjoyed arguing her point.

In addition to her parents, D.W. and Gracie Davis, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Ernest Davis and Elizabeth Whitley.

She is survived by three children, Jimmy Wayne Sparks of Harrisburg, Jonathan Sparks of Harrisburg and Dakota Jones of Mt. Home, AR. Six siblings, Connie Ply of Peel, AR, Dany ( Darlene)  Davis of Walcott, NY, Daryl (Brenda) Davis of Harrisburg, her twin sister Dianna Davis of Peel, AR, who was born 15 minutes later than Debra, Roger Davis of Harrisburg and Robert (Sherri) Gretter of Japan. Three grandchildren.
