Debbie McKay, 60, of Newport, AR. Passed away Saturday, October 30, 2010. She was born in Thayer, MO. On September 23, 1950. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nelda (Shivley) Smith, her father Roy McKay, and her grandparents, Johnnie Boy and Nadine Shivley. She was a resident of the Jackson County Learning Center where she had resided since July 2002. She is survived by her step father, Lawrence Smith of Grand Blanc, MI. Four brothers; Bill McKay of Indianapolis, IN., John McKay of Saginaw, MI., Tom McKay of Burton, MI., and Joe Smith of Lockport, N.Y. Three aunts; Mary Garrison of Bryant, AR., Gail Smith of Pocahontas, Johnnie and husband James Moore (her guardians) of Batesville, AR., nieces, nephews, cousins, and staff and friends of the Jackson County Learning Center. Visitation will be held November 02, 2010 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held directly after starting at 2:00 p.m. with Charles Crow officiating. Ms. McKay will be cremated directly after service.
