Deborah (Debbie) Lynn Patterson Stinson, 67, of Pocahontas passed away Monday, December 21, 2020 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.
She was born June 7, 1953 in Pocahontas, the sixth of seven children to the late Clyde and Lydia Jane Wineland Patterson. Debbie was raised in Pocahontas and attended Pocahontas School. She moved to Loogootee, Indiana where she was employed at Perfect Fit Industries for several years. She returned to Pocahontas in 2012 after retiring from the Shoals Community School.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde, and Lydia Jane Patterson; brothers, David, and Tommy Patterson; brother-in-law, Lambert Jansen; and two nephews.
Debbie is survived by four sisters, Charlotte Jansen of Pocahontas, Nancy (Albert) Frankenberger of Jonesboro, Dottie (John) Hopkins of Shoals, IN, and Cathy Jones of Pocahontas; two stepdaughters; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many beloved friends. She will especially be missed by Marybeth Taylor.
A celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, December 26, 2020 with a visitation at McNabb Funeral Home from 1-2 PM followed by a graveside service at Masonic Cemetery at 2 PM with Deacon Marlyn Tate officiating.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Paul Dawson, Britt Frankenberger, Joseph Jansen, Jon-David Hopkins, Joey and Josh Jones, David Qualkenbush and Brandon Pendley. Honorary pallbearers will be her deceased brothers, David and Tommy Patterson and her deceased nephews, Scott, and Nick Dawson.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
To follow the directives of Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, masks covering the mouth and nose are required for all persons in Arkansas for all indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to non-household members where social distancing cannot be assured. Those attending will also be asked to sign a contact registry and maintain a social distance
