Imboden- David A. Statler, 77, passed away October 31, 2015. He was born October 31, 1938 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Omer and Johna "Johnnie" (Gillette) Statler. Dave was known to all around for his massive gardens. He loved to pass along his garden vegetables to family and friends. Dave worked at Black River Technical College for 30 years before retiring. He was a devoted member of the Imboden Methodist Church. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, sister Bobbie, and his wife of 53 years, Sue (Hobbs) Statler. He is survived by his daughter Lacrecia Statler, son David (Donna) Statler, granddaughter Elizabeth Statler, all of Imboden, grandson Cody (Paige) Statler and great-granddaughter Paislie Statler of Pocahontas, brothers Elsworth, Charles, Jerry and Larry and sisters Bonnie and Joyce also survives. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 2-3 pm with funeral services following at 3 pm at the Imboden United Methodist Church with Dan Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Vernon Cates, Earl Mathews, Butch Dail, Marty Hogan, Gary Meier, Jimmy Lewis.
