Obituary
Caraway- David Roy Smith, 72, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Lakeside Nursing Home.
He was born March 20, 1948 in Black Oak. David was a farmer and was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vernie Smith; three brothers, Smokie Mangrum, Jerry Henry and Gary Don Smith.
He is survived by a son, Travis Rodden (Christy); grandsons, Tyler and Jackson Rodden all of Trumann; sisters, Glenda Sands and Janet Brewer both of Caraway and Phyllis Long (Qunion) of Cherokee Village and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2021 at Gregg Funeral Home with Tim Bassing and Dickie Pace officiating. Interment will follow at Caraway Cemetery.
The family will received friends from 1:00 pm until time of service Monday at the funeral Home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Robert Sands, Ben Sands and Joey Henry.
All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
