Black Oak- David Warren Myers, 78, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023 at his home.

He was born June 1, 1944 in Happy Corner to the late Frank Warren and Florence Tolley Myers. David retired from Colson after over twenty years. He enjoyed fishing and watching barges on the river. He had the best yard in Black Oak and enjoyed mowing other people yards. He was dearly loved by his family.

He is survived by his children, Mary Henson, David Myers and Barry Mansfield; brother, Gary Myers (Brenda) grandchildren, Sarah Michelle Anglin (Isaac), Jenni Lynn Hellenthal, Cortney Myers and Dustyn Myers; great-grandchildren, Rayden Ballin, Klani Cavazos, Swayzie Cavazos, Enrique Cavazos III, Riley Nichole Page Hellenthal and Brenna Michelle Hellenthal.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Peyton Myers; three brothers and three sisters.

A celebration of his life will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2023 at Gregg Funeral Home with Eddie Dunigan officiating. Interment will follow at Macey Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
