Obituary

David Patrick Harrison, 73, of Harrison Arkansas, passed away on April 3rd, 2024.  Formerly of Ash Flat Arkansas, Pocahontas Arkansas, and Lafayette Indiana.  He was born on March 17, 1951, in Imboden Arkansas, a son of Edmond and Ruby Harrison.  He is survived by his sister Marcia Wilson of Lafayette, Indiana and brothers Phillip Harrison of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Roger Harrison of Harrison, Arkansas and many other family members.   He was pre-deceased by his mother and father and by sisters Betty Rose and Susan Endicott, brothers Ben and Jack, and many other beloved extended family members.

Disabled from birth, he nonetheless accomplished much in his life.  He loved fishing; mules and horses; our dogs Pepe, Zeb and many others; eating; having a good laugh; riding around and looking out the window; Dr. Pepper; tinkering with gadgets; putting puzzles together; watching TV; and riding his bike.  But above all he loved his family

He seemed to have a 'personal' joke with many people, whether it was mocking the Three Stooges, kissing the back of your hand and working his way up your arm like Gomez on The Addams Family, or acting annoyed if you asked about the thickness of the cloth of his pants. His nickname was 'Crock' to some people because he had a coonskin cap as a kid and loved to watch the show 'Davey Crocket'; others often called him Davey Pat because his middle name was Patrick, being born on St. Patrick's Day. With his sister Marcia's help, he was able to learn to print his name, which was quite an accomplishment for him!

He was well loved and will be sorely missed.  The family deeply expresses gratitude for all the people who cared for David over the years, especially Judy, John, and River - you are all special people, Thank you for helping David to attain a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Viewing will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 9th at McNabbs funeral home in Pocahontas, Arkansas and graveside service and burial will be at 10:00 on Wednesday, April 10th in the Masonic Cemetery in Pocahontas with Terry Miller officiating.
