Bay- David Aaron Fields, 43, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 at his home in Lake City.
David was born October 29, 1976 in Jonesboro to Kenneth and Barbara Dianne Nance Fields. He had worked as a technician in the textile industry. He had worked as a river raft guide. He enjoyed hiking, traveling, being outdoors, to shop and storm chasing /meteorology. He loved spending time with his boys and his dogs, Harper and Toby and "the yellow cat".
He was survived by his mother, Barbara Dianne Fields of Lake City; two sons, Shiloh Fields and Summit Fields both of Raleigh, NC; a brother, Kenny Fields (Lanai) of Jonesboro; favorite person and cousin, Cindy Meador (Reggie) of Bay; a half-sister, Sheena Nichols of Paragould and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ken Fields.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2020 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
A celebration of his life will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Jeff Adams and Richie Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Chris DeArmond, Reggie Meador, Kyle Cooper, Jason Kelley, Graham Eldridge and Myles Forster and as honorary pallbearers, Cory DeArmond, Paulie Litt, Robert Reneirson, Tim Nance, Henry Ndichu and Bay High School Class of 1995.
All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
