Pocahontas- David V. Fender, 72 passed away at home on September 27, 2016.

David was born April 15, 1944 in Tulsa, OK to Vance and Wilma Cornelson Fender.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Waldron Fender; children, David D. (Theresa) Fender, Brian (Dr. Ron Thompson) Fender, Kristi (Bobby) Sorg; grandchildren, Hannah (Tyler) O'Donnell, Ashton Fender, Barkley Sorg, Kate Sorg; sisters, Charlotte (Gordon) Metzgar, and Marilyn (Tom) Holloway.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the tremendous outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.

A memorial has been established for those wishing to contribute. A cause dear to David's heart was ALS.NET which was supported by his son Brian who suffers from ALS. ALS.NET proceeds are directed specifically to help find the cure for ALS.

A private memorial for family will follow per David's wishes.
