Mr. Daryle Gene Dodd of Trumann, departed this life Sunday, June 1, 2025, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, at the age of 91.

He was born May 22, 1934, in Poplar Bluff, MO, the son of the late Floyd Dodd and Ruby Lancaster Dodd.

Daryle moved to Chicago for work as a laborer for a lumber company. He married Joyce Hosford in 1952 enjoying 57 years together before her death in 2010. He retired and moved to Trumann where he worked for the city. He loved hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Floyd and Ruby Dodd, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Hosford Dodd, in 2010, five brothers, Bobby, Norman, Carl, Jimmy and Avis Dodd, one sister, Doris Hogan. Three children, Martie, Darrell and Anthony Dodd.

He is survived by his daughter, Delois (Charles) Cerpa, two grandchildren, Michelle (Colin) Chambers and Charlie Cerpa all of St. Louis MO. Three great grandchildren, June Chambers, Hank Chambers and Sully Chambers. His loving companion of 7 years, Shirley Kirksey of the home.

Funeral services have been set for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 4th, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg, with Rev. Ricky Forbis officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m..
