Daryl (Stoney) Luepkes, 80, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, at the Pocahontas Nursing and Rehab Center in Pocahontas, AR.
Born on November 19, 1945, in Belvidere, Illinois, to the late Harry and Florence Luepkes.
Stoney loved racing cars, playing music, racing motorcycles, working on cars, going for long motorcycle rides with Karen and their friends and helping people out.
Daryl lived a life of hard work, and dedication to his family and friends. Throughout his 80 years, he touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and quiet strength. He will be remembered for his caring heart, his wisdom, and the many memories he created with those who knew him. Daryl’s legacy will live on through the lives he influenced and the love he shared. While his passing leaves a tremendous void, his memory will continue to bring comfort and inspiration to his family and friends.
He was preceded by his parents, Harry and Florence Luepkes; his daughter, Terry Riley; and his grandparents, Perry and Elizabeth VonAck.
Stoney is survived by Karen Magin and the love of his life of 25 years and his children Darrall Luepkes of California, Shawn Hart of Minnesota and Hanna and Cody Luepkes of Hawaii; step-kids, Wray and Patty Smith of Wisconsin, Evelyn and Doug Nietz of Illinois, Shane and Misty Sickels of Florida and Darly Goss of Arizona.
Stoney was a grandpa to 18 grandchildren and a great grandpa to 5 great-grandchildren.
His siblings, Debbie Murray, Kenny Hess, Diane Cox, Judy Luepkes, Linda Krutsinger, Shirley Hale and many nieces, nephews and friends.
As we say see you later, we remember his warmth, his laughter and the way he loved his family and friends.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2106 Convent St. in Pocahontas, AR on August 15, 2026, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm please bring a dish to pass and chairs.
Daryl (Stoney) Luepkes will be deeply missed and forever remembered. May he rest in eternal peace.
