Jonesboro- Cecille Darlene Watkins, 83, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016. She was born November 12, 1932 in Caraway. She retired after twenty-six years as a dietary supervisor at Beverly Healthcare and was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church. Darlene enjoyed her church, crocheting, knitting and running around with Laverne Liles. She will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother and aunt. She is survived by her children, Luci Murray (Jim), Brenda Rainwater, Mary Watkins, John Wayne Watkins, Jim Watkins (Pam) all of Jonesboro; three brothers, Ben Overman (Pat) of Jonesboro, Jerry Overman (Linda) of Conway and Roger Overman (Debbie) of Caraway; a sister, Patsy Kell (Charles) of Nashville; a treasured neighbor, Mary Hopkins of Jonesboro; ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Williams Overman Jackson; a son, Harold Watkins; a daughter, Mary Juanita Watkins; a grandson, John Adam Watkins; five sisters, Janis Dubois, Elouise Fires, Bettye Baugh, Mealese Alexander and Oberla Schmidt. A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Friday, April 8, 2016 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Stan Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at Caraway Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the funeral home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are John Watkins, Jim Watkins, Ross Ward, Greg McCain, Brian Duhon and Eric Watkins and as honorary pallbearers, Shannon Gage, Blake Watkins, Jim Murray, Steve Kirk, Alan Ward and Bryant Merriman. A special thank you to Dierksen Hospice and Jonesboro Health and Rehab for the wonderful care. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Nettleton Baptist Church or Alzheimer Association.
