Obituary
Pocahontas - Curtis Joe "Jody" Smith, 67, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas.
Jody was born August 30, 1951 in Ypisilanti, Michigan to the late Joyce Blackwell.
He was preceded in death by his mother; great aunt, Hattie Walker; grandmother, Lena Hackworth; and great grandmother, Becky King.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Patterson Smith of the home; children, Joellen (Len) Anderson of Pocahontas, Curtis (Christine) Smith of Imboden, Rachel (Jordan) Baldridge of Imboden; grandchildren, Cody (Makayla) Anderson of Ravenden Springs, Allison Anderson of Pocahontas, Elly, River, and Everlea Baldridge of Imboden, and Jaraca Smith of Imboden.
Jody was a hardworking man who loved to fish and hunt. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.
Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. A graveside service and burial will follow at 3:30 pm at Charter Oaks Cemetery in Ravenden Springs.
